Cocktails & Conversation: The Inside Scoop

What is Cocktails & Conversation?

Phi Mu is thrilled to announce an exciting new series of events designed just for alumnae called Cocktails & Conversation. If you’re a Phi Mu alumna, these events are for you.

Throughout the year, Phi Mu Fraternity will host events at dynamic venues all across the nation to bring post-collegiate Phi Mu women of all ages together for an inspiring night of, you guessed it, Cocktails & Conversation. At each event, Phi Mu will spotlight a Vibrant Voice: a guest alumna to share

Q: What do we hope to gain from these events?

Director of Alumnae Engagement Anji Roe WoodA: “We want to meet our alumnae where they are in life; whether new graduates, retired or in the peak of their career; we want to give them an outlet to be connected in whichever capacity they are able to. It’s important to have fun. Cocktails & Conversation opens the door to an environment where alumnae create ties, new friendships and even mentorships. It’s time to re-energize the post collegiate experience; allow it to be fun, captivating and motivational!”

Q: Why join us at Cocktails & Conversation?

Alumnae Engagement Coordinator Erika GilbertA: “I think the better question is ‘why not?’ Cocktails & Conversation provides an easy and casual environment for people to get to know each other. The time we spend away from our family and everyday life is valuable- the programming gives it true purpose and meaning making it worth your while. We wanted to create a fun way for alumnae to stay engaged. These series of events provide a casual experience and allows us to create bridges and ties to new sisters and friendships.”

Where/When is the first event?

What’s the first stop on the Cocktail & Conversation tour? You guessed it… Dallas, Texas. On Wednesday, August 12 from 7-10 p.m. Join Phi Mu at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science for a unique opportunity to hear from Dr. Mary Ellen Weber – a dynamic Phi Mu alumna, scientist, trailblazer and former NASA astronaut – as she shares uncommon perspectives and lessons learned from her 10-year career completing critical spaceflight missions with NASA. No matter where you are in your life or career, Dr. Weber’s message of the “Importance of Seeking Out New Experiences” will inspire and energize vibrant Phi Mu women of all ages.

Following the event, feel free to take advantage of private access to explore levels 3 and 4 of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science until 11 p.m. When in Texas, go big or go home, right?!

We ask that you visit the Cocktails & Conversation landing page on Phi Mu’s website at for information regarding future events.
