In three days, thousands of collegians and alumnae will set out into the community to embark on a day of hands-on service to make a positive impact. Formally known as National Philanthropy Day (NPD). This Monday all Phi Mus will roll up their sleeves “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” Our Creed spells it out quite clearly, as Phi Mus we committed to making the lives of others better, not just on Monday, but every day.
We ask that you reflect on the following lines of the Creed when preparing for 10/19:
To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.
To be to others what we would they would be to us.
To minister to the needy and unfortunate.
To practice day by day love, honor, truth.
Thus Keeping true to the meaning, spirit and reality of Phi Mu.
In celebration of NPD (and of course #FlashbackFriday) check out the collage below to view pictures from past years of both collegiate members and alumnae doing their part to serve the community.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag #PhiMuServes and send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org to share your National Philanthropy Day experiences.
Thank you in advance for your commitment to serving your community!
