Brief Bio/Overview of your professional background and accomplishments:
I am the current director of the External Affairs for the President’s Office at The University of Alabama. In this role, I also serve as director of The President’s Cabinet and the Capstone Men and Women, the University student ambassadors. The purpose of the President’s Cabinet is to further the mission of the University through the recruitment of influential men and women who serve as a sounding board for the President of the University.

I am most proud of….
My children and the way their views of women are different than mine, my mother’s views and my grandmother’s views. I am grateful to the strong women mentors in my life who make me believe I can achieve anything. We keep growing and empowering women through our daughters and our sons.

The best advice I ever received was…
Always be kind and treat other the way you would like to be treated.

Phi Mu taught me….
So much! Leadership, organizational, and communication skills, but the thing I use the most, is knowledge of Parliamentary Procedures and Robert’s Rules of Order. Understanding how they work and are used has helped me be more effective as a member and leader in other organizations. Boring, but true.

My fondest Phi Mu memory…
Being greeted each day of rush by the rush chairwoman as I walked into the Phi Mu house. She made sure to speak to me each day and told me she was glad I was back at Phi Mu. I felt an immediate connection with her and she rushed me during the pref ceremony. She later became my big sister and we still keep in touch. She made me feel wanted.

Even my best friends don’t know that ….
My middle name at birth was LaTisha. My mother named me after my great-grandmothers.

Three light-hearted things I can’t live without…. (excluding family & friends)Coca-Cola in the morning
A great pair of heels

I wish I had more time to…
Read books. I love to learn!
