Costume Conscious this Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner, and that means… COSTUMES! Dressing up for Halloween is a fun tradition that allows you to express your creativity.

It’s important to remember that our costumes should be adorable, not offensive. When planning your costume for Halloween or for any other function, ask yourself these questions:

  • Is this hurtful?
  • Could this offend a person or a group of people?
  • How will this costume represent me, and my Phi Mu values?
  • How would I feel if my family or future employers saw a photo of me in this costume?

If you are unsure about the answer to any of these questions – maybe you should reconsider your costume for this year.

Remember – you can still be cute and clever while being kind and considerate.
