Chapter of the Month: Alpha Epsilon – Florida State University

There are 138 collegiate Phi Mu chapters, and each one is unique! While each campus cultivates a different Phi Mu experience, every member shares a bond with her sisters in her values of love, honor and truth.

Each month a chapter will be profiled to allow everyone in Phi Mu world to learn more about their sisters from other chapters.

Describe a successful Sisterhood Event: A successful sisterhood eventwe held was when our chapter went to Tree to Tree Ropes Course. There we enjoyed a ropes course and zip lining throughout the park. Sisters loved navigating the ropes course and encouraging the ones who were conquering their fear of heights. This was a great bonding experience for everyone as it was something we had never done together and pushed people out of their comfort zones.

Describe a successful chapter-hosted Philanthropy Event: A successful Philanthropy Event our chapter holds is called “Phright Night,” where we set up a haunted house and have our sisters work inside the house as the characters. An Alpha Epsilon came up with the idea for this event and we have been doing it ever since! There is a different theme every year and chapter members make our their costumes. We also have sisters do all the spooky makeup. We have raised over $17,000 for Children’s Miracle Network through this philanthropy event. It occurs in October and gets everyone in the Halloween spirit!

Popular Social Function Theme: A very popular function theme is Outer Space!

Fun Fact: Our chapter had the highest GPA last semester and had 100% retention with our new member class in the fall of 2018. The Alpha Epsilon Chapter is very proud of it’s achievements!
