There are 137 collegiate Phi Mu chapters, and each one is unique! While each campus cultivates a different Phi Mu experience, every member shares a bond with her sisters in her values of love, honor and truth.
Each month a chapter will be profiled to allow Phi Mus to learn more about sisters from other chapters.

Describe a successful Sisterhood Event:
This past semester we had a “Spa Night” sisterhood event. Mondays are stress-filled days, so the VP of Chapter Development saw a need for members to have the opportunity to relax! Before chapter one night, there was a time of face masks and treats that had everyone smiling! It was a great reminder to always take care of yourself and it made it even more fun being with the ones we love most!
Describe a successful chapter-hosted Philanthropy Event:
In the spring we hosted “Miracle Madness,” a basketball tournament with all proceeds benefiting CMN Hospitals. The tournament was open for anyone within the Georgia Southern community. Many organizations participated in our efforts to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Each team of three paid an entry fee of $50 dollars and tickets were sold to watch the event. There was a big crowd that came to watch the teams battle it out! We were so excited to announce that the event raised $4,000 for the kids and can’t wait to see how it will continue to grow in the coming years.
Popular Social Function Theme:
A chapter-favorite social theme is the long-standing Kappa Mu tradition, the annual Back to School Bash. Each year this event looks a little different, but it is always our way of celebrating everyone being back together after a long summer apart. Members look forward to this night for weeks and we love seeing how the Social Chairman creatively plans the event!
We had a very successful 2018-2019 academic year. We are very proud of the way members participated in other organizations philanthropy events! We won several events throughout the year including Sigma Chi’s Derby Days. Derby Days at Georgia Southern is a week-long philanthropy event benefiting the Huntsmans Cancer foundation. We were very active throughout the week and helped Sigma Chi raise money for the foundation and because of our efforts, we won $1,000 for our chapter to give to our local CMN Hospital. We were also very excited to win Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s Paddy Murphy week, in receiving first place we also won $500 towards CMN Hospitals. This week was very close to our hearts as they have the same national philanthropy as we do!
