Philanthropy/Support of CMN Hospitals

We are very active in contributing to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis! Many of our members work at Le Bonheur, including President Payton Naifeh, Kappa Lambda.

In October, we participated in Le Bonheur’s annual pumpkin run with the Kappa Lambda Chapter at the University of Memphis. We created teams for our members and offered gift cards to members who took photos. We are also providing candy and non-edible items like books and socks for the hospital’s reverse trick-or-treating event.

Support for Collegiate Chapters

Kappa Lambda at the University of Memphis is our Heart to Heart chapter. We provide meals for them, volunteer during recruitment and attend chapter events such as Initiation and Founders’ Day. We also have a mentorship program with them and pay for graduation stoles for the seniors. We support them as much as we can by attending their fundraisers like Spaghetti Dinner and BonnaMu.

Staying Connected During COVID-19

We are not gathering in person right now. We have had our Executive Committee Meetings over Zoom. We are utilizing our very active Facebook page where we post updates as well as job opportunities for our members.

We are staying connected during the pandemic through our support of Le Bonheur’s reverse trick-or-treating and participating in their virtual Pumpkin Run.

Prior to the pandemic, several pledge classes went on annual vacations together.
